Sutton Park Road
Amicus Horizon/ Mansell
This residential / mixed use development was designed as a landmark building at the highest point in Sutton, with views over London and the North Downs. The development comprises of 110 flats, over 12 floors and 1,230m2 of office space on two levels. The development is separated into two blocks, with 26 affordable flats in Block B and 72 shared ownership flats in Block A, plus 12 penthouse flats at the upper levels.
Car parking is provided in an underground garage for 65 cars, the provision was further extended by introducing 38 spaces in carstacking machines.
The building is of reinforced concrete flat slab construction with traditional pad foundations set in the underlying chalk substrate. The external envelope is finished with an insulated Sto render system, providing a homogenous, energy efficient and easily maintainable high quality architectural surface. The sustainable design incorporates solar panel water heating for domestic hot water.
All flats are provided with external space by means of generous bolt on steel balconies. The penthouse flats are served with well proportioned concrete terraces. This project was built as a design build project with Mansell for a subsidiary of Amicus Horizon.
